Love blossoms in weakness

Being weak reminds us that no matter how hard we try to be strong and stay strong, we still crash and burn. Because we are only truly strong when we rely on God’s love for strength.

While we live the illusion that we got it, we close ourselves to the infinite possibilities of his loving power. We can drive ourselves crazy strategizing solutions for our failures, or trust that he makes the impossible happen when we seek him.

God’s loving power is perfected in our weakness. When we humbly acknowledge how limited and powerless we are, he steps in to teach us how to navigate life under his grace.

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

Paul

He teaches us to give it all to him to live better: our worries, our pains, our frustrations and failures. Then we can enjoy this peace that only the One who made us can give us.

With a grateful heart, we are able to see his blessings in our lives and the many times he rescued us from our hopelessness. He knows what we need and always gives more than what we ask for.

He is the way maker, our strength and path to eternal life.

Giving our worries to the One who can pacify our hearts

Our worries can sometimes paralyze us and rob us of the peace it takes to make good decisions. But we are not alone. And the One who made us wants us to give our worries to him.

When we seek him first, be it by reading his word, praying or by loving one another, we enjoy his peace.

And he lifts the weight from our shoulders.

I love reading his word while savouring my breakfast, to start my day with what’s most important in my life. And it is his message of love that nurtures and prepares me for sleep.

He teaches me to acknowledge my struggles, but let troubling thoughts go by like clouds in the sky.

When we engage with our worries, we invite them to stay.

Sometimes I stubbornly insist on being in control. That’s when I know it’s time to pray and cry to him about my struggles, instead of trying to figure them out by myself.

He always nurtures my spirit with his love, giving me the ability to forgive and go through the day with a grateful spirit.

When I humbly seek his wisdom, I know that I live better.

Trusting that he’s taking care of me makes me overflow with love in the spirit and all my worries are swallowed by his peace.

Prayer, a therapy of Love

Prayer is an intimate conversation with God.

Because he already lives in us, we don’t need to pray out loud. God doesn’t need us to utter words, he knows our minds.

Prayer is not the repetition of religious text. It is a moment of intimacy with God to express our love, gratitude and share our struggles to ask for guidance.

We chat with God in our own way.

I do it all the time. It doesn’t matter where I am or what I’m doing. It doesn’t have to be in a quiet place. I don’t move into a position or fold my hands. All I do is open my heart to God.

It is the safest and most powerful way of opening up.

It is therapeutical, because it helps us identify what’s troubling us. Yet God doesn’t need us to tell him our troubles – he knows.

His diagnostic is that we rely on ourselves instead of relying on him.

He treats us with his forgiveness and heals our brokenness with his love.

He also does’t need to be reminded of what we need – he knows and is already taking care of us in his own perfect time and way. We do what we can, then rest. God is in control.

Prayer is a wonderful way to consciously connect with him and experience the peaceful hope that this connection fills us with.

Although he already knows everything, he still wants to hear from us through our prayers, because he knows we need this.

God listens. God knows.

And he will gives us more than what we ask or need.

Take courage, I have overcome the world

If you are going through tough times, you are not alone. As we suffer, it makes a difference to ask for help from Him who exposes our wounds to heal us. Let God be your rest, and the answer to the difficult questions you have. Rely on His love: it is unfailing and eternal.

Whenever we can, let’s be the answer to someone else’s prayer. Because we know that God wants us to show his love for Him by loving one another here in this world that is full of trials. Whose prayer can you answer today?

Prayer is powerful. Keep it simple.

Prayer doesn’t need to be done out loud: God doesn’t need us to utter words, he knows what’s in our minds.

Prayer is not the repetition of religious text – such as the Ave Mary. It is a very intimate chat that we have with God to express our gratitude or share our struggles and ask for guidance.

Chat with God in your own way. Keep it simple.

God doesn’t need you to tell him what’s troubling you – he already knows. Still prayer is a wonderful way to consciously connect with him and experience the peaceful hope that this connectedness fills us with.
He also does’t need to be reminded of what you want. Repeating the same prayer over and over again comes from a place of paranoia and does nothing but fuel even more paranoia in us.

Do what you can, then rest. Leave the outcome in God’s hands.

Most importantly: pacify yourself about the fact that what we think is good for us might be radically different from what God knows that will make us good.

God will fill our lives with grace in ways that we might not understand in this lifetime, but that will be decisive for our growth towards eternity.
